The Kingdom of Lesotho has the second highest HIV prevalence rate in the world after Swaziland. More than 23% of the population, or just under 1 in 4  are living with HIV.

Stigmatisation and discrimination are widely accepted as major root causes in the fight against the spread of HIV and AIDS in Lesotho.

Behind the adverse behaviour of stigmatisation and discrimination is the reluctance to engage in open dialogue about HIV and AIDS and the effect it has not only on those living with the disease but also on Youth who are not yet infected but too afraid to get tested or seek advice.

Hillside Digital developed Take the Pledge as a youth advocacy campaign for UNDP to effectively advocate to reduce HIV/AIDS prevalence around HIV and lower stigma and discrimination around HIV be engaging Youth in the rural and urban areas of Lesotho alike.
